No, but I followed them for over 10 years
This is the first time I've seen Don Williams live but have loved his music for years. He didn't disappoint me one bit. In fact, I expected less than he 'used to be.' What a wonderful surprise to hear him sound so great. I enjoyed his sense of humor, too. His backup is a great bunch of musicians. I highly recommend his show. His schedule is unbelievable - shows every evening for months! How do they do it?
I've always loved Willie Nelson! I used to go to sleep every night to Always on My Mind on my light up record player! My Dad is probably the BIGGEST Willie fan I've ever met! He looks so much like him, he's been asked for his autograph more times than I can think of. Especially when we attend his concerts. It's truly amazing. His lifelong dream is to one day get to meet him, but I'm sure that list is miles long! I think Willie is a living legend, who is still remarkably talented , especially at his age. I love every movie he's been in, especially Red Headed Stranger. I will continue going to every show I can possibly go to. If there is a fan club I can join, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I wish I could include a picture of my Dad holding a picture of Willie, it's really something to see! Kathy H. This was the second time I have been able to see Don perform I also saw him here in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee in August 2011. He really had a great show and performed a lot of his old songs that I have loved since first hearing him sing "Come Early Morning" in 1974. I was never able to see Don perform early in his career as most of the time I was either too far away or didn't have the money to buy tickets. I will see him again this year in Pigeon Forge October 18, 2013 and this time I have front row seats. I may have to have back surgery in early September and sure hope we will be able to make the drive up from Boaz, Alabama to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. I can hardly wait to see Don perform again. He still sounds just as good today or maybe even better than he did years ago. May Jesus be with Don as long as he wants to sing his great songs. His latest album "And So It Goes" is one of his best ever.
I first saw Willie on Fremont street I think it was the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas back in the 70s. Every time he came I was there in Vegas. Retiring in 2008 I was very excited to be able to get tickets to a Concert Hall only 2-1/2 hours away. Upon getting into the room and on the way to get some food they broke the news THE CONCERT HAD BEEN CANCELED. Well my heart goes out to all especially Willie when I found out that Jody had passed. Willie 80 and I on the 9th will be 60. I just want all to know his music and his shows have been a great part of my life. I`d like to take him Fishing. email@example.com. Thanks Willie take care of your health I look forward to seeing you in Wendover next year. Dave
Hey there Mr.Adkins , Following today's country artist sure has made me wiser but yet foolish in a lot of ways out here in Texas never know whats true or just being bluff about it too much goes along way. Well thought it was you the other day with fire in San Antonio.Sometimes i can set here for hours as you read sure Just wondering are you giving us all updates on the touring and the o pry ...It took this Wv wildflower coming from WV to Texas to really learn more of the Alamo and how you become popular from the Louisiana,How strange and how odd was this to know Alabama and friends split during their crossover for country /rock/pop...Just goes to show you that's what really mattered in society along with the Latina blues ,soul, jazz, and alternative and metal music its really hard to put the old dogs down to become a rising star ..I know but (hero's are all of us in our own way ) Hope this really spreads the word for love and peace to all of united as we stand on it long strong and proud to be Americans,The old Indians go way back to when so we cant battle that but they are very wise people to, southern ,rebel, stars we are all the same in our own little way .
Trace is scheduled to appear here Nov 17 2013. Tickets are on sell Sept 13th. Can't wait, he was AWESOME at JITH this July. Sure it will be a great show
