21 year old Christopher "Sully" Sullivant, A.K.A. Crowd Cntrl, is a rising talent originally based out of Flint, Michigan. In 2012, Crowd Cntrl began his journey in the music world. Starting out by making up mash-ups and doing mostly small house shows in the Flint area in 2012 and early 2013, Crowd Cntrl developed an interest in discovering his own sound and identity as an artist. Upon his arrival to Western Michigan University in the fall of 2013, Crowd Cntrl was balancing both the college athlete life as a Divison 1 soccer player and trying to establish a name in the area when it came to his sound and DJing. Eventually at the end of his freshman year, life came to the point where Crowd Cntrl had to part ways from the athlete life and fully maximize his potential with music.
With 2014 being a year of mostly growth in production and a very escalating year in terms of DJing, Crowd Cntrl became a prominent name in Michigan. Earning a spot at Element Music Festival as well as playing at bars, clubs, and house shows in various places in the state of Michigan, Crowd Cntrl began to truly make a name for himself in the Michigan Electronic Scene.
Fast forward to 2015, one can begin to see the development of Crowd Cntrl's music. His debut remix of Hustlin' by the one and only Rick Ross was the start of an impressive streak of tracks/mixes. After receiving support from blogs such as ThisSongSlaps, sicktaste, edmlead, fvckgenres, smashtheclub, and EDMsauce, Crowd Cntrl was able to start developing a promising social media presence. Following Hustlin' came the Crowd Cntrl's Mix series called Munchiez which continues to be released monthly, as well as remix singles of the Bingo Players - Nothing To Say, KSHMR's - Jammu, and Eminem's famous 'Till i Collapse. Over the course of just 4 months, Crowd Cntrl has accumulated over 150,000 plays amongst these tracks and mixes and has gained a multitude of followers.
On a DJing standpoint Crowd Cntrl has been extremely busy playing many shows in the course of 2 months in the Fall of 2015. These ranged from headlining at Western Michigan's 'West Fest' which featured top DJ's around Kalamazoo County, being a resident DJ at The Mix of Kalamazoo (Kalamazoo's hottest night club), Harper's of East Lansing, as well as various frats, nightclubs, parties, and bars in Ann Arbor, East Lansing, and Kalamazoo.
The past few months have been big for Crowd Cntrl. In November, he performed at a sold out Life in Color Kalamazoo alongside the likes of Tommie Sunshine and Zed's Dead. The noise that Crowd Cntrl has made has resonated throughout Kzoo, as he has established residency at two local bars: The Old Goat Tavern and Grotto, and formerly at The Library. Crowd Cntrl has also played shows at Wild Bull in Kalamazoo, providing support for Slander, Miami University (OH), and at The Intersection in Grand Rapids with INFUZE. In terms of new music, he's pumped out some new music such as a take on the Fall Out Boy classic "Sugar We're Goin' Down" and released originals like "Donald Trump". Things are only looking up. In the near future, keep it locked to Soundcloud as there is plenty of new music on the way.
