Dionne Warwick's Upcoming Concerts
Gordon reviewed: Dionne Warwick
This concert was a waste of time & money. Miss Warwick was distant, unprofessional, wanting to be somewhere else & disengaged. We did not pay to have to suffer through a 15 minute duet of, "I Say a Little Prayer For You," with her screeching, wailing, no quality in-his-voice, son. She shortened many of her hits. She prodded the audience for more applause for her band. Her screeching son pleaded with the audience, to buy his CDs. She mentioned the duo of Bacharach & David, once, as an afterthought. She showed no genuine appreciation & gratitude to this duo. Mr. David passed away the week before. She did not mention this gifted lyricist in reverence. He was the lyricist that made her career & made her millions of dollars. Miss Warwick did not project & much of the time, unable to be understood. Perhaps, she had been smoking something. After all, she does have a history. If she had any class, she would refund, what her fans (some former) paid to see, this listless shell of herself. Dionne, do everyone a favor: either retire or perform for free.
