Matt Lange is an American electronic music producer and DJ based in Los Angeles. He is currently releasing music with deadmau5's label mau5trap, and previously released music on Anjunadeep. He graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in music synthesis and has numerous song-writing and production credits to his name. Lange is known for his precision and versatility in sound design and composition.
Matt Lange has earned production credits on many notable releases, including BT's Grammy-nominated album These Hopeful Machines, Glenn Morrison's platinum-selling single "Goodbye", and Markus Schulz' "Scream". Lange's abilities as a composer and sound engineer have earned him credits on numerous TV productions as well as the Fox Digital production ETXR, which he scored in its entirety. His song with Blake Lewis, "Your Touch," was featured in the TV and web Internet Explorer 10 advertisements.
Lange began to have success with his own artist productions through a series of early releases with Above & Beyond's Anjunadeep label. Notably, Bad Year Blimp/Revolver and Avalon/Griffith Park both charted in the top 20 of the Beatport Progressive House charts, and his single "Rift" reached #1 on the Beatport Chill Out chart.
In February 2015, Matt signaled a change in his career direction with a mau5trap release as part of the label's We Are Friends Vol 3 compilation.
Lange has produced official remixes for Usher, Imogen Heap, and the Halo 4 Original Soundtrack, among others.
Vibe Magazine named Matt Lange the #1 DJ to watch in 2014. In late 2013, Mixmag cited Lange on their "10 Underrated Producers" list, writing he has "more musical predilection in his pinky than most producers' entire catalog"
