Had the privilege of being the opening act for Merle & the strangers. Took my mother (who had terminal cancer)and both of us saw the show of a lifetime. He was both of our hero.Sadly,it was a bad day for him, (his longtime friend passed away that day),but he never missed a lick.Keep on playin merle, you're the greatest!!The New Band, it was july 9th

My husband built Merle's custom coach we went to see him I think 2002. It was so awesome we went to the coach and was welcomed with open arms. Treated with the up most respect. Would love to know when h*ll be in Ohio again.

We have never seen a bad show, maybe a little short a time or two but I'm sure time seems a lot longer to Merle on stage then it does to us in the audience. The hag is just about the only one we listen too, oh wait hubby does listen to Johnny cash. I also love watching the entire band play. We are awaiting the day when Benny haggard starts doing his thang!! This young man is very talented. We have a lot of pics and autographs from Merle, in the 80's at Pleasanton Ca. Bonnie Owens picked my son and brough him on stage what a thrill that was, twenty yrs later he remembers it but had no no clue who Merle or Bonnie were. We see the hag about three to four times a year, my dream to go to billy bobs, I'm still waiting. Go see a show u will be glad u did and hopeful hook on the hag!!!!! Jerry n Kari

I worked for Merle for 12 years so I guess that I could give the man a really truthful review. The man has over 60 records to his name and everbody has favorites from each one and to expect him to play a song from every one would be asking alot even from a young man. The one thing I can say about the man is that he always treated me with respect and was always asking about the MEN not BOYS in his road crew. Yes I love and respest the man because I gave what I receved. So when you dont hear your favorite song on the nite you see the man remember how many songs he has written and the amount of time he has on stage. Richard K. Phelps
