Jessarae (pronounced Jez-a-rae) has been noted in the music industry as one of music's hottest emerging young talents. The talented 17-year old singer/songwriter doesn't play sugary pop, opting instead for classic yet fresh melodies delivered with equal amounts of rock, soul and groove. Noted for his grace and composure, Jessarae has had the honor of revealing his classic showmanship by performing on the same stage with Stevie Wonder, Seal, Plain White T's, Five for Fighting, John Legend and The Roots, Gavin Rossdale, Sugar Ray and Matisyahu to name a few. Jessarae was announced as the youngest ambassador to join WhyHunger's "Artists Against Hunger & Poverty" program amongst music luminaries such as Bruce Springsteen, Carlos Santana, Michael McDonald, Chicago, Earth, Wind & Fire, Joss Stone, and Jackson Browne among others. In addition, Jessarae launched his own "Dream Big" Tour: Schools Across America – performing and talking with thousands of students at elementary, middle and high schools throughout the country. It is Jessarae's goal to empower his peers "to chase their dreams, no matter what they may be, with tenacity, integrity and courage, staying true to their authentic selves." He joined forces with "After-School All-Stars" (an after-school program for kids at risk at over 450 schools in 13 cities across the country), and will be embarking on a tour of their schools to perform and continue to spread his message of empowerment.
