Tom Mackell is an American singer-songwriter originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, currently based in Charleston, South Carolina. He launched his career in the summer of 2009 after graduating high school and releasing a self-produced 5-track acoustic EP titled, "One Man Army". Tom spent his freshman year of college in Washington, DC at The Catholic University of America where he began playing open mic nights around the city. The following year, Tom moved to Charleston, South Carolina to attend the College of Charleston and continue pursuing his music career.
In June 2011, he received a production deal to record his sophomore EP titled "Carolina Sweet" with Grammy Award-winning Producer/Engineer, Glenn Barratt. The EP was recorded at MorningStar Studios near Philadelphia. Tom spent the rest of his college years playing gig after gig, honing his live performance and songwriting skills. After graduating from the College of Charleston in May of 2013, Tom continued performing extensively around Charleston in addition to touring along the east coast. In the fall of 2014, Tom began recording his third EP titled "Here Come The Days" with Producer Jeff Leonard Jr. at Ocean Industries Studios in Charleston.
