Michael Stevenson, better known by his stage name Tyga, is an American rapper and singer signed to Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records and Universal Motown Records. He first received recognition with his debut single "Coconut Juice".
Tyga performed a duet with the all star somali rapper fiia fiiasco who is well know in the United Kingdom. This record is set to be out beginning of september 2011
After recording a mixtape and promoting it around the city, Tyga ran into Cody Ulm and Scott Bolinger, in the Flight Club L.A. sneaker shop. Their conversation went from shoes to rappers, and as Cody and Scott's group went from unknowns to MTV stars, he would always remember that talk and his unique style. Cody and Scott signed Tyga to his Bad Squad label and then invited him along when the punk-pop group Fall Out Boy came calling. Cody, Scott and Tyga would appear on the remix to Fall Out Boy's "Arms Race," which also featured Kanye West, Paul Wall, Skinhead Rob, Lupe Fiasco, and Lil Wayne. When the remix became a hit, Tyga found himself performing the track on MTV's Video Music Awards in 2007. He soon entered the studio to do some guest shots for his new friend Lil Wayne before shifting the focus to his solo career. His first single became the hooky "Coconut Juice," a S*A*M & Sluggo production that borrowed a bit of Harry Nilsson's hit "Coconut." As the club track was climbing the charts in the spring of 2008, Tyga was hard at work on his debut album, No Introduction, which was officially released that June. Also dating up coming Singer/Song Writer Nesia C.
Careless World: Rise of the Last King is his second studio album. The album is a move to the rapping style he featured in the collaboration album We Are Young Money rather me than the poppy dance element shown on No Introduction. Tyga stated that the album shows he has grown up but still relates to the kids. Tyga released a new mixtape #BitchImTheShit in preparation for this album. The first official single Far Away was released on May 17th 2011. It peaked at 86 on the Billboard Hot 100. The second official single Still Got It was released on October 4th 2011. It peaked at 89 on the Billboard Hot 100. The third official single Rack City was released on December 6th 2011. It was originally listed on Tyga's Well Done 2 mixtape. Tyga put it on the album because of the song's instant success and rise. It debuted at number 91 on the Billboard Hot 100, and has peaked at number 8 since then. The fourth official single Faded was released on 13th January 2012. It debuted the Hot 100 chart at 124.
