Motherfolk started as Bobby Paver and Nathan Dickerson. The band started out as a project between the two of us. We had both written an extensive amount of songs, and as we brought them together, we realized that the themes lined up. We are passionate about writing music that connects to people who are struggling. We write in the genre of lamentation, and consider our music a more frustrated aspect of worship.
Along the way, we picked up Jacob Bremer, Karlie Dickerson, and Clayton Allender, and have been playing shows all across the US.
