Rachael Sage has had an illustrious career as a independent artist, respected and praised by the likes of the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Rolling Stone and Billboard. She has shared the stage with Ani DiFranco, Sarah McLachlan, and Shawn Colvin and her songs have appeared on MTV, HBO and the "Fame" soundtrack. She has made a name for herself as one of the most active touring artists in independent music with her theatrical stage show, signature flair and colorful stage banter. Billboard has said "her keen ironic sense of humor and quirky sense of the profound is what makes her special as a songwriter" and RollingStone.com called her a "genuine talent." This year, her label MPress Records received its first GRAMMY nomination and its first Billboard charting record.
Her 10th and newest album Haunted By You is a song cycle about passion, which merges the emotionally raw lyrics of Adele with the classic pop sensibilities of Carole King. The 13 penned compositions on the album feature an array of special guests including Dar Williams, Counting Crows member David Immergluck, and actor/director Joshua Leonard, and showcase Sage's poignant writing, as well as her impressive keyboard, guitar and production skills.
