Born in Nashville, TN, in September of 1995, but spending her formative years raised in England, Lilly Winwood has always shown a strong aptitude for music having started playing guitar at age nine and performing in the school choir.
Lilly's voice simmers somewhere between Soul and Americana. This is hardly surprising given her father is the British musician, Steve Winwood, known for his 'Blue-Eyed Soul' vocals. Like her father, Lilly has the same innate ability to pick up a musical instrument and connect with It. She plays guitar, keyboards, pedal steel, and slide guitar.
Now, currently living in Nashville, Lilly is a Singer/ Songwriter in her own right. Carving out a career as a professional musician, she performs regularly around Nashville as well as dates in the wider United States and UK, most recently the Main Stage of the 30A Songwriters Festival in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida as well as opening two Sold Out nights at The Fillmore for her dad.
Lilly's music draws on a range of influences from Blues & Soul to Americana. Tedeschi Trucks Band, Bonnie Raitt, John Mayer, Iron And Wine are cited as having an impact on her. Lilly pays tribute to Tedeschi Trucks with a cover of 'Midnight In Harlem' during her performance at the Riverside Theatre, Milwaukee. Her recent version of Steve Winwood's 'Higher Love' can be heard supporting the current 'My Dad' National Ad Campaign for Hershey's chocolate.
