Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center Biography
There are at least 3 artists called The Society: 1. The Society was a psychedelic garage band active in Texas in the 1960s. Signature tracks like "High and Mighty" can be found on the album "Sixties Archives, Vol 2: Texas Punk" and other garage comps. 2.The Society is a Lithuanian rock 'n roll band started in 2012. It consists of Adomas Palekas (vocals, keyboard), Martynas Vaitekunas (guitar), Mantas Jundzila (bass) and Jonas Brazys (drums). The band experiments with many subgenres of rock, which helps them to creat a unique and a little bit old school sound. The Society has participated in a few contests, recorded six songs. 3.The Society is the brainchild of Danish born Thomas Hass Christiensen - composer, arranger and saxophonist and touring member of the globe trotting Senor Coconut ensemble. The Society started to take shape after a chance collaboration with fellow producer Tommy Gee (known for the proto big-beat "Drums of Thunder" on R&S records). The duo focussed their love of all things soulful, be it house, hip hop or jazz to create a truly unique and heartfelt style.
