PINK MEXICO is the music of Robert Preston, the drummer/vocalist of the late Brooklyn Duo, Anything But Animals.
It all began in 1991, surviving various musical collaborations and a wealth of trial and error, Preston attempted to individually capture the sound he had been eager to achieve since pre-puberty.
The recording process took place in a booze-drenched party basement in Bestuy, Brooklyn. All the instruments on the album were performed by Preston and engineered/mixed by Jon Granoff (producer/musician)
After moving across the country, from Brookyn, NY to Venice, CA, Preston self-released the album PNIK MXEICO, mastered by Nuutti Kataja of the NYC band Dead Combo.
Post album release, John Chambers was enlisted as the first and only other official member of the band, PINK MEXICO.
