    Belle and Sebastian release new album

    Scottish indie-pop darlings Belle and Sebastian are set to release a new album, entitled Belle and Sebastian Write About Love, on October 12th.

    This will be their first release in over 4 years, the last being the critically acclaimed The Life Pursuit. The release of the new record will be followed by a tour of major U.S. cities, including the Treasure Island Festival in San Francisco.

    T.I. arrested on suspected drug possession

    Recently paroled rap star T.I. and wife Tameka "Tiny" Cottle were arrested for possession of what appeared to be "ecstasy-like pills" after making an illegal U-turn on Sunset Blvd. at 10:30 pm. After being pulled over, the heavy smell of marijuana emitted from the vehicle prompted a search, which produced the alleged drugs. A statement is expected from T.I.'s spokesperson later today.

    Lifehouse gains second life

    Early 2000's rock act Lifehouse have seemingly gained a second life, thanks in part to a new album and a supporting slot touring with Daughtry. They have now announced a headlining tour, with support being lended by another American Idol-er, Kris Allen.

    Lil' Wayne to drop new album on day of release

    Lil' Wayne is rumored to be releasing a brand new LP the day he is released from Riker's Island Penitentiary. Wayne Carter is currently serving a year-long prison sentence for drug and weapons charges.

    Carter was allowed to record while in prison, where he was in a secluded cell, away from General Population. He is set to be released on November 5th. Previous to his release, his record label, Young Money Entertainment will be releasing a 10-track Lil' Wayne release entitled I Am Not A Human.
