Rob reviewed: Run Westy Run @ First Avenue
Run Westy Run is an amazing band. Wide variety of sounds from hard driving riff-rock to country, ballads, sing-a-longs, funk, post punk, and catchy pop rock. Their live shows are outstanding, immense energy, they just exude joy on stage. They have darker music as well as more upbeat, it was all good. I brought one person who had never even heard of them before, and one person who has loved them for years, and all 3 of us were blown away. They rocked our faces off and were so generous with their time to sign memorabelia for many, many fans. Can;t wait until their next show.

Reunited after 15 plus years ....1st show was sold out so they added another the following night at the TURF Club in ST. Paul .I attended the 1st show at FIRST AVENUE and R.W.R. performed DIZZY ROAD as their first song and proved they still could Connect with less then a few days to practice together .On stage just watching the band members interactions and smiles showed That they were enjoying playing together as much as their fans enjoyed listening to them .This is what made their show a very special one and a reunion ...not only of the band members ..... but of their many fans who 15 years later came to see them and even brought their kids who were now of age... to introduce them to R.W.R..
Jayson reviewed: Trampled By Turtles @ First Avenue
I've seen these guys probably a dozen times or so at various venues and music festivals. I lived in Duluth for about 5 years, of which I saw them frequently whenever they played at Pizza Luce's. They put on a great performance. I've never been let down by a Trampled concert. I just wish the tickets were still as cheap as they used to be back in Duluth.
